How we rate games

Every slot is scored on the same four criteria, using the game's published data: RTP (40%), maximum win potential (25%), bonus features described in our review (30%) and how recent the release is (5%). Our editors can adjust a score after playing the game. Missing data counts as neutral. The score reflects the game's numbers and features, not your chances of winning; slots are games of chance, so please play responsibly.

Maguro Market Overview

Maguro Market is a Japanese food slot from Inbet, released on 4 September 2026. The name means “tuna market”, and the reels are a menu of Japanese favourites: nigiri sushi, ramen, gyoza dumplings and fine sliced beef, with a koi fish as the Wild and Mount Fuji as the Scatter.

The game plays on 5 reels and 4 rows with 20 paylines. It is a straightforward line slot: there is a Wild, a Scatter that pays up to 500x the bet and a Risk game that lets you gamble any win.

The RTP is 95.1%, the volatility is low and the maximum win is 500x the bet – exactly the prize for five Scatters.

Theme and Graphics

The reels stand inside a traditional Japanese room, framed by red lacquered pillars and paper lanterns. Behind them, you can see dark wooden lattice screens, and two potted plants stand in blue and white vases at the sides. The game logo hangs at the top in golden letters on a red sign.

Maguro is the Japanese word for tuna, the fish that made the early-morning auctions of Japan’s big fish markets famous. The game does not show the market hall itself; instead, it brings the dishes to the table, as if you were sitting at a sushi counter.

The food symbols are drawn in a realistic, appetising style. When a line wins, the other symbols turn grey, and only the winning ones keep their colours, so you can follow each payline easily. A golden cloud of smoke appears in the middle of the screen with the amount won.

Paytable

All wins pay left to right on the selected lines, and only the highest win per line is paid. At a bet of 10, the paytable shows:

  • Ramen bowl: 200 for five (20x the bet), 40 for four, 10 for three,
  • Gyoza and sliced beef: 100, 20 and 10,
  • Shrimp and tuna nigiri: 50, 10 and 5,
  • Salmon nigiri: 50, 10 and 5.

The ramen is clearly the best regular symbol. The nigiri symbols filled most of the reels in our screenshots, and with 20 lines, they can pay on several lines at the same time.

Koi Wild

The Wild is a red and white koi fish on a blue background. It replaces all symbols except the Scatter, and it also pays on its own: 500 for five (50x the bet), 200 for four and 20 for three. In our session, three Wilds on reels 1 and 3 helped a spin pay 80 on 11 lines – a good example of how the Wild connects many lines on a 5x4 grid.

Mount Fuji Scatter

The Scatter shows Mount Fuji in a round frame. It pays in any position on the screen, and its win is added to the line wins:

  • 5 Scatters: 5,000 at a bet of 10 – 500x the bet,
  • 4 Scatters: 200 (20x),
  • 3 Scatters: 50 (5x).

Compared with the line symbols, the Scatter is in a different class: five ramen bowls pay 20x the bet, five Wilds 50x, but five Mount Fuji symbols pay ten times more than the Wild line.

In the paytable and the rules we saw, the Scatter pays cash prizes only, and no free spins round is described. Five Scatters is the biggest single prize in the game.

The Risk Game

After a win, you can press Take to collect it or Risk to gamble it on a card game. A face-down card is drawn, and you can guess:

  • the colour (red or black) – a correct guess doubles the win (x2),
  • the suit (hearts, diamonds, spades or clubs) – a correct guess multiplies it by four (x4).

The last five cards are shown at the top right, and the Take 1/2 button lets you collect half of the win and keep gambling with the other half. In our session, the Risk screen showed an amount of 160 at stake.

Our Session

In our screenshots, we saw 20 and 60 on two lines, 80 on eleven lines and a 90 win with the Wild on reel 3, all on a bet of 10.
