How we rate games

Every slot is scored on the same four criteria, using the game's published data: RTP (40%), maximum win potential (25%), bonus features described in our review (30%) and how recent the release is (5%). Our editors can adjust a score after playing the game. Missing data counts as neutral. The score reflects the game's numbers and features, not your chances of winning; slots are games of chance, so please play responsibly.

Majestic White Rhino Overview

Majestic White Rhino is an African safari slot from Spinomenal, released on 26 June 2023. It plays on a classic 5x3 grid with 25 fixed paylines, and its bonus is decided by a prize wheel that can award anything from 10 to 40 free spins. SlotCatalog lists a 90% RTP for the version it tested, with a note that the game comes in several RTP versions; Spinomenal does not publish a volatility rating or maximum win for it. Stakes run from 0.25 to 250 per spin.

On the Savannah

The reels are framed in weathered stone, with acacia branches hanging over the top and a purple dusk sky over the plains behind them. The premium symbols are the animals of the savannah, drawn as round medallions: the elephant, the zebra, the giraffe and a pair of white vultures. The low symbols are gold and blue card ranks from 10 to A. The title logo sits above the reels, and the 25-line badge in the top-left corner reminds you that every spin covers all lines.

Paylines and Bets

All 25 lines are always active; you choose the bet per line, and the total is shown below the reels. In our screenshots the stake was 10 per line, which makes a total bet of 250. Wins pay left to right on those lines in the usual way.

The Free Spins Trigger

The bonus is started by FREE SPINS symbols – purple tiles with the words written in gold. Our screenshot shows three of them on the first, third and fourth reels, and that was enough to open the feature.

The Wheel of Free Spins

Instead of a fixed number of spins, the game hands you a wheel: “Press the spin button to determine your free spins.” The segments carry 10, 15, 20, 30 and 40 spins, with the tens appearing most often and the single 40 at the top. The centre of the wheel shows the four animals – elephant, zebra, giraffe and vultures – which suggests the wheel also has a say in which animal becomes special in the round.

Our spin landed on the top prize: “Congratulations! You have won 40 free spins.”

The Double Symbol

The same congratulations screen explains the twist: “During free spins, this symbol will always appear as a double symbol.” In our round the chosen symbol was the pair of white vultures. A double symbol counts twice on a payline, so a handful of them can complete a line that would otherwise be one symbol short – and in the free spins screenshots the vultures indeed stack up in the first reels, next to the elephants and giraffes.

What Our Free Spins Showed

The balance lets us follow the whole round. Before the free spins it stood at 1,740. Part way through, a spin with vultures on the first reels paid 1,680, and the round total had reached 7,980 – with the balance at 9,720, exactly 1,740 plus 7,980. With three spins left a Big Win of 2,520 arrived, again built on a reel full of vultures, and it lifted the round total to 14,880 with the balance at 16,620 – once more exactly 1,740 plus the round total.

The last three spins added nothing: the buy screen we opened after the round still showed a win of 14,880 and a balance of 16,620. At a 250 stake that is 59.5x the bet from one bonus, and roughly a fifth of it came from that single Big Win.

Buying the Feature

The BUY button under the reels opens a panel with the heading “Trigger 10–40 Free Spins”. You choose the bet and the game shows the price: at a 250 bet the buy price is 9,750, which is 39x the stake. The panel shows the same wheel as the natural trigger, so a bought round can land on anything from 10 to 40 spins as well.

Compared with our round, the buy looks reasonable: the 40-spin round we played returned 59.5x, about one and a half times the 39x price. A 10-spin result would, of course, be a very different story – the wheel decides how much value you get for the same price.

Line Bets and Line Wins

Because all 25 lines are fixed, the total stake is always 25 times the line bet: the 0.25 minimum is 0.01 per line, and the 250 maximum is 10 per line – exactly the setting in our screenshots. That makes the wins easy to read in line-bet terms. The 600 base-game win in our screenshots is 60 line bets, and the 1,680 free-spin hit is 168 line bets from one spin.

What the Catalogue Adds

SlotCatalog’s feature list for the game goes a little further than our screenshots: besides the wheel and the buy it names random additional wilds, stacked symbols and additional free spins. We did not see those in action, so treat them as part of the published description rather than something we can confirm.

Base Game Wins

The base game is steady rather than spectacular. At the 250 stake one spin paid 600 (2.4x), with elephants, giraffes and a line of tens and kings in view, and another paid 1,090 (4.36x) from a spread of queens across the reels.

More From Spinomenal

Spinomenal has returned to the rhino more than once. Majestic Blazing Rhino carries the same “Majestic” name, and SlotCatalog lists several other rhino titles from the studio, including Blazing Rhino Hold & Hit and the 3x3 Blazing Rhino Blast the Bonus.

Who It Is For

Majestic White Rhino suits players who like a traditional 25-line slot with one clear bonus. The wheel adds a gamble to every trigger – 10 spins or 40 – and the double symbol is what turns a long round into a big one. Keep in mind that the tested RTP of 90% is on the low side; check the information screen at your casino for the version you are playing.
