Multi Hot Wild Ways is a compact fruit slot from Smartsoft Gaming, released on 30 October 2025. It plays on a 3x3 grid with 27 ways, returns 96.65% at low volatility and takes bets from 0.20 to 300. The published maximum win is 285x the bet – unusually modest, and the game is designed around that.

Nine Positions, Twenty-Seven Ways

The grid is three reels wide and three rows deep, set against a dark green background patterned with clover leaves. The MULTI HOT WILD WAYS logo sits above it, a MULTIPLIER column runs down the left, and 27 WAYS is printed in the top right.

The arithmetic behind that number is the simplest in slots: three symbols on each of three reels, so 3 x 3 x 3 = 27 possible paths from left to right. Every combination is three of a kind, and the only question is how many of the 27 ways carry it.

The symbols are classics: lemon, orange, watermelon, plum, grapes and cherries, plus a golden $$, a red 77 and a flaming WILD.

The Game Shows Its Working

This is what makes Multi Hot Wild Ways worth a look. Under the grid, every win is printed as a complete formula: symbol value x number of ways x multiplier. Nothing is hidden.

At a bet of 100.00 our screenshots read:

10.00 x 3 x 3 = 90.00 – three lemon ways at a 3x multiplier
40.00 x 1 x 4 = 160.00 – one grape way at 4x
10.00 x 8 x 3 = 240.00 – eight lemon ways at 3x
10.00 x 1 x 5 = 50.00 – one way at 5x

That middle figure is the one to watch. A screen almost entirely filled with lemons produced eight separate ways from the same symbol, and eight ways at 10.00 apiece is worth more than a single way of the second-best fruit at four times the value.

The Multiplier Column

The MULTIPLIER strip down the left side is a small reel of its own. It shows three values at a time with the middle one framed in red, and it lands on a new figure with every spin. We saw it stop on 1x, 3x, 4x and 5x, with 2x also in the strip.

It multiplies the whole spin, not one symbol, and it is decided independently of the reels – which is why the formula under the grid puts it last. A single lemon way at 1x is worth 10.00; the same way at 5x is worth 50.00.

The Paytable

Because every win is three of a kind, the paytable is a single column. At the 100.00 bet the information screen was captured at:

Wild – 500.00, or 5x the bet
77 – 300.00, or 3x
$$ – 100.00, or 1x
Watermelon and grapes – 40.00, or 0.4x
Lemon, orange, plum and cherries – 10.00, or 0.1x

The ladder is steep at the top and flat at the bottom: four of the nine symbols share the same bottom rung. The header on that screen is worth quoting too – “All Symbol wins are in DMO” – a reminder that the figures shown in a demo are in play money, and a bet selector sits beside it so you can see the table at your own stake.

Why Eight Ways And Not Nine

Our biggest spin is worth unpicking, because it shows how a 27-ways grid really behaves. Eight lemon ways paid at once, which means the lemons filled almost every position but not quite: a full screen of one symbol would produce all 27 ways, while eight is what you get when one reel carries two lemons and the others three, or some similar near-miss.

Multiply that out and the appeal of the format becomes clear. A single way of the top fruit is worth 40.00; eight ways of the cheapest fruit is worth 80.00 before any multiplier. On this grid, coverage beats symbol quality almost every time, which is the opposite of how a payline game works.

The Wild On A Three-Reel Grid

The flaming wild is the best symbol in its own right at 5x the bet for three, but its real value is the same as everywhere else – it completes what is already there. On nine positions that matters more than usual: a single wild can turn a two-reel fruit cluster into a paying combination across several ways at once.

In one of our screenshots the wild landed on the bottom row with watermelons and plums around it, and the spin paid 250.00 at a 100.00 bet. On a grid this small, one symbol genuinely changes the result.

A 285x Ceiling

That published maximum is the most unusual thing about this game. Most modern slots advertise thousands; 285x is the sort of number a classic three-reel machine carries. Combined with the low volatility rating and a 96.65% return – above the industry average – it describes a game built for grinding rather than chasing.

The balance readings bear that out. Across our session the credit moved between 18,569 and 19,799 at a 100.00 bet, with wins of 90, 160, 240, 250 and 340 landing regularly. Nothing spectacular, nothing alarming.

Hold And Spin

The largest control on the screen is not the spin button. A big circular HOLD & SPIN control sits on the right-hand side, above a $ button and below a small x2, with a lightning bolt for turbo beside it.

On a three-reel game a hold control is the oldest mechanic there is: keep the reels you like, respin the rest. Placed next to a 27-ways engine and a multiplier column, it gives the player something to actually decide – rare on a machine this small.

What The Bet Changes

Everything scales with the stake. Our screenshots were taken at 100.00 a spin. At the 0.20 minimum three wilds pay 1.00 and a lemon way 2 cents; at the 300 maximum three wilds pay 1,500 and the 285x ceiling is worth 85,500. The formula under the grid works the same at every level.

Who It Is For

Multi Hot Wild Ways is for players who like short, honest games. The grid is nine positions, every win is three of a kind, and the game prints the exact sum it is paying you. A 96.65% return at low volatility with a 285x cap is a genuinely different proposition to the 5,000x games elsewhere on this site – it will not change your evening, but it is unlikely to end it quickly either. One thing to note: at the time of writing none of the six casinos we check carried this title.
