Nazca Mysteries Overview

Nazca Mysteries is an adventure slot from Triple Cherry, released on 8 July 2024. It plays on a 5x5 grid with 30 paylines, and sends you across the Peruvian desert with a llama to uncover the meaning of the ancient Nazca lines.

Triple Cherry publishes a default RTP of 90.11% and five alternative settings: 97.653%, 96.04%, 94.04%, 92.03% and 88.09%. The operator chooses which one you get, so the return at your casino may differ from our data box, which shows the highest option. The studio gives a hit frequency of 35% and a maximum multiplier of x650.6; SlotCatalog rates the volatility as low-medium and lists bets from $0.50 to $50. The figures below come from our own demo session at a FUN 20 bet.

Desert Glyphs under a Golden Sky

The grid stands in the middle of a sunset sky, with golden clouds on both sides and the Nazca Mysteries title in stone letters above. The tiles look like carved and painted stones.

The theme draws on the real Nazca lines – the huge figures of animals, plants and geometric shapes scratched into the desert floor of southern Peru, best seen from the air. The game turns several of those figures into its symbols, so the hummingbird, the spider and the plant on the reels are nods to the most famous shapes in the desert.

The premium symbols are the Nazca glyphs themselves: an orange hummingbird, a pink figure with a feathered headdress, a green plant, a brown animal and a spider tile. The lower symbols are the card letters A, K, Q and J in gold, red and blue. A white llama tile also turns up on the grid – the companion the game’s story is built around.

Controls and Screen Layout

The control bar under the grid holds a BONUS button for the purchase, an autoplay button, the large red spin button, a MAX button that jumps to the highest bet, and the bet field with minus and plus buttons. A thin bar along the bottom edge shows the last prize, the bet and the balance.

During the free spins, two panels replace the controls: FREE SPINS counts down the spins left, and TOTAL PRIZE keeps a running sum of the round. The background also changes from the golden sunset of the base game to a turquoise night sky with drifting lights.

Paytable and Lines

The prize table lists every symbol for the current bet, with pays for three, four and five in a row. The 30 prize lines cover the five rows of the grid in straight, V-shaped and zig-zag patterns, and wins count from the leftmost reel.

The prize lines page shows all 30 patterns in six rows of five small diagrams, which makes it easy to check why a particular spin paid. Because the grid has five rows rather than the usual three, the same symbol can sit on several lines at once, and a single column of wilds can complete more than one line in the same spin.

At our FUN 20 bet the base game paid in small steps. A single line of letters returned FUN 6.00 (0.3x) in our first capture, and that is typical: most base-game results are fractions of the bet, and the larger prizes wait in the free spins.

The Free Spins Phase

Triple Cherry lists scatters with a direct prize and a Free Spins Phase among the features. We reached the free spins through the bonus purchase described below, and the award screen announced “YOU WON 8 FREE SPINS!”. The rule is simple and generous: “All prizes won will be multiplied by x2”, and a x2 badge stays above the grid for the whole round.

The wild, marked with a gold W, joined the lines during the feature. Our round shows how the doubled prizes add up: with six spins left a line of spider tiles paid FUN 72.00; with five left the total prize stood at FUN 144 after another FUN 31.17; and with one spin left the total reached FUN 504, while that spin paid another FUN 120.00 with two wilds in the line.

Buying the Bonus

The BONUS button opens a direct purchase: “Immediate access to the BONUS feature”. At a FUN 20 bet, 8 spins cost FUN 664.00 – 33.2x the bet – and the game warns that pressing START will deduct the total cost from the balance. Our balance dropped from FUN 1,878 to FUN 1,214 when we bought it.

Our bought round reached FUN 504 with one spin to go – below the purchase price, which is a fair reminder that the x2 multiplier does not guarantee a profit.

How the Balance Moved

The session numbers give a clear picture of the costs. We started the captures with a balance of FUN 1,926, it stood at FUN 1,878 when we opened the purchase screen, and it dropped to FUN 1,214 once the 8 spins were bought. The spins themselves then paid out in steps of FUN 31 to FUN 120.

At a FUN 20 bet, the 664 purchase price is the same as 33 base-game spins. A bought round has to pay more than that to come out ahead, and with a x650.6 ceiling on the whole game, the upside of each round is limited even with the x2 multiplier.

RTP Settings Explained

The six RTP settings make a real difference over time. At the default 90.11%, the game’s long-run return is FUN 90.11 for every FUN 100 staked; at the highest 97.653% setting it is FUN 97.65. The gap of more than seven points is larger than the difference between most slots, which is why it is worth checking the game’s information screen at your casino before you play.

A 35% hit frequency means that, on average, about one spin in three returns something – often a small line of letters like our FUN 6.00 win.

The Numbers to Keep in Mind

The default 90.11% RTP is well below the market average, so the setting at your casino matters more here than in most slots. The x650.6 ceiling is modest, which fits the low-medium volatility rating: frequent small wins, with the doubled free spins as the main event.

Who Should Play It

Nazca Mysteries suits players who like calm, lower-volatility slots with an unusual theme and a simple bonus. Players chasing big wins should look elsewhere, and everyone should check the RTP setting before they play.
