Ocean Legacy Overview

Ocean Legacy is a five-reel, three-row slot from Mancala with 10 paylines, a 95% RTP and a published ceiling of 5,000x. It was released on 2 April 2025.

A Sunken City

The reels float in front of drowned ruins – broken columns, a sunken ship in the distance, coral and anemones along the bottom of the screen, with shafts of light coming down from the surface.

Standing to the left of the frame, outside it, is Poseidon himself, trident in hand, watching the reels. He also appears as a symbol on them.

The rest of the symbol set is a mermaid, a treasure chest, an octopus in a pirate hat, fish and card ranks.

A message in a bottle and a seahorse round out the set. Poseidon is the only symbol that also exists outside the frame, which makes him easy to spot when he lands.

One honest limitation: no paytable screen appears in these captures, so we are not quoting symbol values. Everything below is read from the reels, the win field and the footer messages.

The Scatters Pay and Trigger

The scatter is marked in plain letters on the symbol itself – SCATTER across the bottom of the tile – which removes any doubt about what you are looking at.

Three of them pay in their own right: one capture shows Scatter win: 200.00 printed in the footer, which is 2x the stake, with the three scatters spread across the first, fourth and fifth reels.

And they trigger the round: Congratulations! You won 10 Free Spins! on a blue card with a coral border.

What the Round Did

Inside the round a FREE SPINS counter sits above the reels – the captures catch it at 5 – and the winning lines are drawn as streams of light and bubbles across the grid rather than as straight lines.

One free spin fills nine positions with A symbols, and the winnings field reads 4,700.00. Against the 100.00 stake that is 47x – from the cheapest symbol on the game, landing nine times.

That is the clearest possible demonstration of how a ten-line slot pays: not one premium line, but the same low symbol on most of the grid at once.

What the Base Game Paid

The base captures are modest and consistent: 150.00 (1.5x) with two scatters and a chest, 200.00 (2x) with Poseidon on the second reel, 400.00 (4x) from a grid of treasure chests, and 720.00 (7.2x) from chests again with the light trails running through them.

So the base game sits between one and seven times the stake, and the chest is the symbol doing most of the work.

A fifth base result completes the picture: 330.00 (3.3x) from a scatter, a bottle and a chest together on the bottom row. Four of the five base wins came from the chest or the bottle rather than the card ranks.

On ten paylines across fifteen positions, that is the pattern to expect – the premium symbols are worth chasing and the card ranks only matter in quantity, as the 47x free spin showed.

The Shell Gamble

Wins can be gambled, and Mancala’s version is nicely themed: two shells, one pink and one blue, sit either side of a face-down card on the sea floor. Pick the right colour and the win doubles.

The figures are stated plainly at the top: Current win 300.00 and Possible win 600.00. It is a straight double-or-nothing.

Above them runs a Previous cards strip, and in the capture it shows four aces in a row – spades, clubs, hearts, diamonds. The history is displayed honestly, and it tells you nothing about the next card, which is exactly as it should be.

The win lines themselves deserve a mention. Instead of coloured bars, the game draws each paying line as a stream of light and bubbles curving across the grid – pretty, and on a ten-line game still perfectly legible.

A 95% Return

The figure needs stating: 95% is below average, and with no published volatility rating there is no second number to soften it.

The balance across the captures runs 19,500.00, 19,070.00, 18,520.00, 17,900.00 and 16,910.00 – a fall of about 2,600, or 26x the stake, over the stretch that also contained the 47x round.

Read those two together and the shape is familiar: a good round inside a session that was still down overall.

What the Ceiling Would Take

The published maximum is 5,000x, and the best thing in these captures is a 47x free spin. The gap is the usual one: the round would have to repeat that result many times over, or land the premium symbols where the aces landed.

It is worth noting what the 47x spin actually was, though – nine aces, the cheapest symbol on the game, on a single free spin. If the same grid had been filled with chests or Poseidons, the figure would have been several times larger.

The Interface

The controls sit on the right rail as circular keys – autoplay, a large C spin button and a stake key – with BALANCE, TOTAL BET and WINNINGS along the bottom edge.

The footer also narrates the state in words: Good luck! while the reels turn, Place your bets! between spins, and Scatter win when the scatters pay on their own.

The demo runs in DEM units rather than a real currency, which is the same convention Mancala used on Midas Hand Of Fortune.

The session opened at 20,000.00 even, so the full arc across the captures is 20,000 down to 16,910 with a 4,700 round inside it – about thirty spins’ worth of movement in each direction.

Who Should Play It

Ocean Legacy is for players who want a calm, good-looking ten-line slot with a proper gamble attached. The sunken-city artwork is genuinely pretty, the scatters are labelled so there is nothing to guess at, and the shell gamble with its card history is a nicer piece of design than most double-or-nothing screens.
