How we rate games

Every slot is scored on the same four criteria, using the game's published data: RTP (40%), maximum win potential (25%), bonus features described in our review (30%) and how recent the release is (5%). Missing data counts as neutral. The score reflects the game's numbers and features, not your chances of winning; slots are games of chance, so please play responsibly.

Ozmo’s Riches is an EGT Digital video slot that trades the usual fruit machine look for a swamp wizard’s workshop. A bearded sorcerer with a frog on his shoulder watches a five-reel, four-row board with 75 fixed paylines, and the symbols are the contents of his shelves: honeycomb, a glaring eyeball, a creature’s claw, purple wings, a blue mushroom, a water lily and flasks of red, green, blue and purple liquid. The listed return is 96.3%, volatility is high and the round ceiling is 16,000 times the stake.

The Ten-Spin Cycle

The thing to understand first is the small counter beside the reels that runs from 1/10 to 10/10. The base game is played in cycles of ten spins, and everything that matters for the main bonus happens along that counter rather than inside a single spin.

The cauldron is the special symbol. Whenever it lands, its position is marked with a green frame, and the frame stays in place until the tenth spin of the cycle. Several screenshots show the result: frames scattered over the board as the counter climbs, and a bubbling cauldron lighting up the cells it occupies. The wizard also flares up on the board as the frames are placed, which makes the marked cells easy to spot at a glance.

Frogs on the Tenth Spin

When the reels stop on the tenth spin, every symbol sitting in a framed position is transformed into a wild, drawn as a grinning purple frog. This is the only moment in the main game when wild symbols can appear, which is why the screenshots of the tenth spin look so different from the rest, with whole columns turned into frogs. Wilds replace all symbols except the scatter and the cauldron, so a stack of them tends to produce a lot of line wins at once. On the following spin the counter returns to 1 and the frames and wilds are cleared.

There is a second layer on top of this. If a cauldron lands again on a cell that already carries a frame, it adds a multiplier to that cell, first x2 and then x4 on later hits, and x4 is the highest value a cell can reach in one cycle. On the tenth spin all those multipliers are added up and the winnings are multiplied by the total. A small x2 badge next to the reels in two of the screenshots shows this running multiplier while the cycle is still in progress.

Free Spins and Their Menu

Scatters appear on all reels during the first nine spins of the cycle but not on the tenth. Three, four or five of them trigger the Free Spins, and the player then chooses between three packages, which is where the game gets interesting. Each package trades the number of spins against the number of guaranteed wilds on every spin.

With three scatters the choices are 9 spins with 6 wilds, 7 spins with 7 wilds or 5 spins with 8 wilds. Four scatters give 18 with 6, 14 with 7 or 10 with 8, and five scatters give 27 with 6, 21 with 7 or 15 with 8. During the round the wilds can carry a multiplier of x2 or x4, and the win of each spin is multiplied by the sum of the multipliers in it. The round runs on an alternate reel set, cannot be retriggered, and does not use cauldrons, frames or the ten-spin counter.

Jackpot and Extras

A four-tier progressive jackpot strip, Grand, Major, Minor and Mini, runs along the top of the screen. The jackpot feature starts at random at the end of a base game or a free spins round, after the win that triggered it has been paid. The player then opens chests from a set of fifteen. Twelve of them hold pearls whose colour matches a jackpot level, and three hold clover symbols that lift the result to the next level once three matching pearls are collected.

The Buy Bonus button sits to the left of the board, with a Buy Bonus Every Spin toggle in the same menu. The demo also offers a red or black double-up option on wins up to 750.00, with up to five attempts, though it is switched off whenever a progressive jackpot has been won. The stake presets in the demo run from 750 to 1,500.

Look and Feel

The artwork leans on a murky forest palette of deep teal and violet, with glowing green potions and purple crystals standing out against it. The reels sit in a dark wooden frame studded with small lamps, and those lamps light up along the top edge as the cycle counter approaches the tenth spin, a quiet cue that the payoff spin is near.

The control column on the right keeps the essentials close at hand, with the large spin button, a speed toggle, minus and plus buttons for the stake and a bet menu above. EGT Digital adds its usual convenience settings, including autoplay, turbo and quick spin, multi-denomination play, a battery saver mode and a left-hand layout.

Which Symbols Do What

It helps to separate the three special elements. The scatter is the only symbol that pays out of the base cycle in a big way, because it opens the free spins menu. The cauldron has no payout of its own, and its job is to mark cells and push multipliers. The wild is the frog, which only shows up when a cycle is finished or inside the free spins package that was picked.

The progress of a cycle is kept separately for each bet and denomination. Change the stake mid-cycle and the game remembers where the earlier stake stood, so the frames and multipliers waiting on the board are still there if you come back to it.

Reading the Numbers

The screenshots show what a typical cycle looks like. Early spins are quiet, and small wins such as 58.11 are paid when the lines are crossed by the framed cells. A line win of 385.11 appears with the x2 badge lit, and in the lower part of a cycle the counter climbs towards 10/10 while the cauldron symbols collect. All of the big results come from the same place, the tenth spin, where frames, wilds and multipliers meet.

That structure makes the game easy to read once the cycle clicks. Nine spins of preparation followed by one payoff spin is a rhythm many players enjoy, and the 16,000x cap is the highest figure that any combination of wilds, multipliers and jackpot can reach in a single round, since a round ends at that point and any remaining free spins are lost.
