How we rate games

Every slot is scored on the same four criteria, using the game's published data: RTP (40%), maximum win potential (25%), bonus features described in our review (30%) and how recent the release is (5%). Our editors can adjust a score after playing the game. Missing data counts as neutral. The score reflects the game's numbers and features, not your chances of winning; slots are games of chance, so please play responsibly.

Peep the Pope GigaBlox Overview

Peep the Pope GigaBlox™ is a cheeky Vatican-themed slot made by Slightly Edgy, a studio that releases its games through Yggdrasil. Slotcatalog lists its release date as 15 October 2026, but the game is already live in our partner casinos.

The game plays on 6 reels and 5 rows with Scatter Pays: 8 or more identical symbols anywhere on the screen make a win, and winning symbols are removed with Avalanches. The demo’s rules show an RTP of 94.0%, while slotcatalog lists 96% as the top version of the RTP range. The volatility is high, and the game rules give a max win of 9,800x the bet. Bets range from 0.10 to 10 per spin.

Theme and Graphics

The reels stand in a golden frame inside a church, between two marble pillars with weeping stone angels, under colourful stained-glass windows. The symbols are the people of the parish – a frightened choirboy, an old priest, a grey-haired woman, a shocked young woman and a nun – together with church items: candles, a holy book, a bell, a chalice and a golden cross. The Pope himself, with a purple mitre and a golden goblet, appears in the bonus game.

Symbols and Paytable

Wins are paid in three tiers: 8–10, 11–14 and 15–30 identical symbols. At a bet of 150, the paytable showed:

  • Nun: 500, 700 and 1,000,
  • Grey-haired woman and young woman: 200, 400 and 800,
  • Choirboy and priest: 100, 150 and 400,
  • Golden cross: 60, 120 and 150,
  • Bell and chalice: 40, 80 and 120,
  • Candles and holy book: 20, 40 and 100.

All simultaneous wins are added together, and only the highest tier per symbol is paid.

GigaBlox Symbols

GigaBlox are giant square symbols of 2x2, 3x3, 4x4 or 5x5 size. Every position they cover counts as a separate symbol, so a single 3x3 block already gives 9 symbols – more than enough for a win on its own. The Free Spins symbol never becomes a GigaBlox. In our session, a 3x3 block of the grey-haired woman paid 200 at a bet of 150.

Avalanches and Progress Bar

After every win, the winning symbols are removed and new ones fall in, and the Avalanche continues as long as new wins appear. Every removed symbol fills the Progress Bar on the left side, which gives a reward at the end of the sequence:

  • 20–34 symbols: one final spin with 1, 2 or 3 GigaBlox,
  • 35–49 symbols: the Hold & Win Bonus Game,
  • 50+ symbols: the Pick & Click Bonus Game.

Only the highest reward reached is given, and the bar resets after each spin.

Free Spins and Multiplier Panel

The Free Spins symbol is a golden keyhole with a peeping eye. 4, 5 or 6 of them award 6, 8 or 12 free spins. Every free spin has at least one random GigaBlox, and the Avalanches stay active. During the round, the Progress Bar becomes a Multiplier Panel with the steps x1, x2, x3, x4, x6, x8, x11, x22, x33, x44, x66, x88, x111, x222, x333, x444 and x666. After each Avalanche win, the panel moves up one step, and the higher value applies to the next win. The multiplier is kept for the whole round.

Hold & Win Bonus Game

This bonus is played on a 3x3 grid with 3 lives. Every new symbol resets the lives to 3, and all symbols stay sticky. Coins pay 1x to 5x the bet, Magnets collect the value of all coins on the grid, and Super Coins – the Pope – pay 15x, 20x, 50x or 100x and give x2 or x3 to random coins. Filling all 9 positions awards the Super Prize of 666x.

Pick & Click Bonus Game

The Pick & Click bonus gives 3 to 5 picks, and every pick reveals a prize from 1x to 1,000x the bet. All prizes are added together at the end.

Ante Bet and Buy Bonus

The Ante Bet costs an extra 1.5x the bet and guarantees at least one GigaBlox on every spin. Where allowed, you can also buy 6 free spins for 20x, the Hold & Win Bonus Game for 40x or the Pick & Click Bonus Game for 100x the bet, each with an RTP of 94.0%.

Our Demo Session

In the base game, a big group of choirboys spread over five reels paid 150 at a bet of 100, and the Avalanche cleared the way for new symbols. Later we reached the Hold & Win bonus: after a few spins, the grid held five coins worth 4x, 5x, 3x, 5x and 5x, and the counter still showed 3 lives left, so every new coin kept the round alive.

Who Should Play It

Peep the Pope is for players who like irreverent humour, big GigaBlox symbols and many different bonus games. The x666 multiplier gives the free spins real potential. Try the free demo first.
