Rise of Poseidon Extreme Hold & Win is an underwater mythology slot from Rival Gaming, released on 26 March 2026. It plays on a 5x3 grid with 243 ways to win, returns 96.01%, and takes bets from 0.25 to 25. The top prize is 20,000x the bet – the Grand jackpot. Pearls with cash values, a Poseidon wild that towers over a whole reel, four jackpots and the “Wrath of the Seas” Hold & Win bonus with a Bonus Buy are the highlights.

The Sunken Temple

The reels stand between two crumbling Greek columns in a dark underwater temple, with treasure, coral and shells piled on the sea floor. The “Rise of Poseidon Extreme” logo in gold and turquoise floats at the top, and below it four coloured jackpot bars show the current prizes. Two round buttons on the right start the spins and autoplay, and a Bonus Buy button sits in the bottom right corner.

The picture symbols are characters from the deep: a dark sea monster, a blue-haired siren, a golden-bearded sea king, a sea maiden in a green crest and a roaring merman. The low symbols are A, K, Q, J and 10 in bright colours. The wild shows a horned sea creature marked WILD, and glowing white pearls carry cash values.

Four Jackpots

At a bet of 20 the jackpot bars read Mini 300, Minor 600, Major 4,000 and Grand 400,00015x, 30x, 200x and 20,000x the bet. The gap between the Major and the Grand is enormous, and the Grand alone equals the game’s maximum win.

243 Ways And The Wild

Wins pay for matching symbols on neighbouring reels from the left, in any row – the rules describe it as “matching symbols appear consecutively starting from the leftmost reel”. Winning symbols light up in bright yellow frames.

Our base game screenshots show the wild at work. Two 10s and a wild on the first reels, joined by another wild, paid 9.60. In another spin two roaring mermen on the first and third reels were connected by a wild on the second, and the game showed “Line win 24.00” – 1.2x the bet.

Poseidon Rises

The most dramatic base game moment comes when Poseidon himself appears. In one of our spins the sea god, with a golden crown and trident, burst out of the third reel and covered it from top to bottom as a giant wild. With 10s on the first two reels and on the fourth, and pearls worth 100 and 160 on the grid, the spin paid 115.20 – nearly 6x the bet from a handful of low symbols. Slot catalogues list expanding symbols, sticky wilds and wilds with multipliers among the features, which fits the size of that win.

Pearls

The pearls are the coins of the game. In the base game they land with values such as 20, 40, 60, 100 and 160 at a bet of 20 – from 1x to 8x the stake – and the Hold & Win bonus is built around them. In our screenshot six pearls landed on the second and fifth reels at once, showing 60, 40, 160, 100, 20 and 100.

Wrath Of The Seas Hold & Win

During the bonus the pearls lock in place and the regular symbols keep spinning around them, with a counter under the reels showing the spins left – “3 Spins Remaining” in our screenshot, a sign that new pearls reset it. Our round filled most of the grid: pearls worth 60, 60, 80 and 100 across the top, 40, 40, 100 and 20 in the middle, 60, 160, 140 and 100 along the bottom, and a pearl showing MINOR on the first reel.

The visible cash values add up to 960, and the Minor adds 600 more – already more than the price of a bought round, with spins still to go. Poseidon’s golden trident swept across the grid during the round, which suggests he can add to the pearls as well.

Bonus Buy

The Bonus Buy window, with Poseidon striking a pose beside it, offers to “Buy into the Wrath of the Seas Hold & Win” for 1,000.00 at a bet of 20 – 50x the bet. Arrows let you change the bet before confirming. Our session shows the purchase: the balance dropped from 1,758.40 to 758.40, and the bonus began with the six pearls mentioned above.

What The Bet Changes

The jackpots are clean multiples of the bet, which suggests they scale with the stake. If so, the Grand is worth 5,000 at the minimum bet of 0.25 and 500,000 at the maximum of 25, while the Mini ranges from 3.75 to 375. If the Bonus Buy keeps its 50x price, it costs 12.50 at the minimum and 1,250 at the maximum.

The pearl values would scale in the same way. In our session at a bet of 20, a single 160 pearl was worth 8x the stake – at the minimum bet that pearl would show just 2, and at the maximum 200.

Who It Is For

Rise of Poseidon Extreme Hold & Win is for players who like Hold & Win bonuses with a giant jackpot on top. The 243 ways and the towering Poseidon wild keep the base game lively, the pearls give every spin a chance at the bonus, and the 20,000x Grand makes it one of the higher ceilings in the genre. The 50x Bonus Buy is a quick way in for those who do not want to wait.
