Shining Royal 20 Overview

Shining Royal 20 is a classic fruit slot from GameArt, released on 21 May 2024. It plays on 5 reels and 3 rows with 20 fixed paylines, and it sits in the middle of the Shining Royal family, between the 5-line original and the 40 and 100-line versions. SlotCatalog lists an RTP of 96.35%, medium volatility and a maximum win of 2,000x the bet, with stakes from 0.20 to 200.

Red, Gold and Fire

The reels stand on a deep red background under a gold SHINING ROYAL 20 logo, with a small “20 LINES” plaque on each side of the grid. Every reel sits in its own gold frame, which makes the game look like a row of old one-armed bandits placed side by side.

The symbols are the familiar fruit machine set: a red seven, a gold dollar sign, a watermelon, a bell, grapes, a lemon, cherries, a plum, an orange and a purple star. The royal touch comes from the wild, a red velvet crown with the word WILD beneath it. When symbols form a winning line, they catch fire, and the amount appears in a gold box in the middle of the screen.

The Paytable

The info pages show every prize in cash for the current bet. At €20, five sevens pay €2,000 (100x), four pay €250 and three pay €15. The dollar sign and the watermelon share the next tier: €200 for five (10x), €50 for four and €15 for three. Cherries, plums and oranges pay €75 for five, €15 for four and €10 for three.

Twenty Fixed Lines

The rules screen draws each line on a small grid. The first three run straight across the three rows, and the others bend and zigzag between them. All twenty are always active, so the only thing you set is the total bet.

The published maximum follows straight from the paytable. A full screen of sevens would complete all twenty lines, and twenty times €2,000 is €40,000 – exactly 2,000x a €20 bet. The top prize of the game is therefore a screen of sevens, not a separate jackpot.

The Crown Wild

The crown wild substitutes for the other symbols and, when it lands, it expands to fill the whole reel. Our screenshots show it doing that on reels 2 and 3. A reel full of crowns becomes part of every line that crosses it, which is where the bigger base game wins come from.

In one spin a full reel of crowns on reel 3 joined two burning dollar signs on reels 1 and 2 and paid €90, or 4.5x the bet. In another, a column of crowns on reel 2 carried several lines at once for a total of €55.

The Star

SlotCatalog lists a scatter symbol for this game. One of our spins shows three purple stars on reels 1, 3 and 5, with no payline drawn, and a win of €400 (20x). That points to the star as the scatter, paying wherever it lands, but the paytable page with its values is not among our captures.

The Gamble Feature

After a win you can collect or gamble. We took the €400 win into the gamble and ended up with a current win of €1,600. From there the screen offered two choices: guess the colour of the next card (red or black) to double it to €3,200, or guess its suit to quadruple it to €6,400. The card back carries GameArt’s own GA logo.

What the Session Did

The smaller wins came from fruit lines. A group of burning watermelons paid €30 (1.5x), and the balance moved between roughly €320 and €450 over the captures – the kind of steady swing you would expect from a medium-volatility game with a top-heavy paytable.

Who Should Play It

Shining Royal 20 suits players who like the traditional fruit machine but want more lines than the 5-line original. The expanding crown does the work in the base game, the scatter adds another way to win and the gamble lets you push a win further if you are willing to risk it.
