How we rate games

Every slot is scored on the same four criteria, using the game's published data: RTP (40%), maximum win potential (25%), bonus features described in our review (30%) and how recent the release is (5%). Our editors can adjust a score after playing the game. Missing data counts as neutral. The score reflects the game's numbers and features, not your chances of winning; slots are games of chance, so please play responsibly.

Sultan Express 7s Overview

Sultan Express 7s is Kalamba Games doing something slightly odd, and doing it well: it takes an old-fashioned three-reel fruit machine and stands it in the middle of a sultan’s palace. The room around the cabinet is all deep purple and gold, with arched windows glowing warm orange along both walls, hanging lanterns, silk cushions and carved screens. The machine itself is a proper period piece – a heavy purple cabinet with a row of white bulbs framing the reel window and a prize table printed across the head.

Symbols

The symbols are exactly what that cabinet demands. Pink and gold BAR plaques, a bright green 7, and a set of jewelled ornaments in blue and gold fill the three reels, all drawn with the glossy sheen of a modern studio imitating an older style. There is no attempt to hide the contradiction between the classic front and the palace behind it – the game leans into it.

A 3x3 Grid with 5 Lines

The layout is a compact 3x3 grid with 5 paylines, printed in the corner of the screen as LINES: 5. Nine positions and five lines is about as simple as a modern slot gets, and every spin resolves at a glance: no cascading, no ways-based counting – the reels stop and you either have a line or you do not.

Three-reel games have almost disappeared from new release schedules, and the handful that survive are usually stripped-back retro throwbacks. Sultan Express 7s is not that: it is a fully-featured modern slot – buy menu, extending free spins, reel multipliers, a five-figure prize ladder – that simply happens to be played on nine positions.

The Prize Table on the Cabinet

The first sign of the modern feature set is the prize table on the cabinet head. It is a ladder rather than a paytable: small numbered icons run down both sides, from 3 at the bottom up to 9 at the top, each paired with a value. In our session those read 45.00 and 75.00 at the bottom, then 150.00, 600.00, 1,500.00 and 7,500.00, with a single enormous 150,000.00 sitting alone at the top for a full board of nine.

That top figure is the game’s 10,000x maximum win. A three-reel machine has no room for spectacle inside the grid, so Kalamba has moved the spectacle to the frame – the number sits there through every spin, doing the work an elaborate animation would do in a five-reel game.

Golden Lamps and Free Spins

The key symbol is the golden lamp. Landing lamps triggers the free spins round, and the lamps keep working once you are inside it: further lamps during the feature award +3 extra spins, displayed on a small panel along the bottom of the cabinet. A counter on the same strip tracks your progress.

That counter moves. A feature that began at twelve spins was reading 15 of 18 later in the same run – the lamps had extended it twice while it was still going. A good round is not a fixed allocation you spend down; it is a run that can keep renewing itself for as long as the lamps keep arriving.

Reel Multipliers

The other thing that happens inside the feature is multipliers. Small markers attach themselves to reel positions during the free games – x1 and x2 early in a round, x3 later – and they lift the value of every line that passes through them. With only nine positions and five lines, almost any marker that lands is in the path of something, which makes them far more consequential here than on a large grid.

The spin counter keeps topping itself up while the multipliers climb, so a feature that started as a modest twelve-spin award can quietly turn into a long run at x3 – and on a game whose base wins are counted in single euros, that is where anything worth having comes from.

Buy Bonus: Two Prices

A Buy Bonus menu sits behind the cart icon at the right of the reels, with two options: 12 free spins at the higher cost or 8 free spins at the cheaper one. The cheaper entry is a smaller commitment with a shorter runway; the expensive one buys more chances for the lamps to extend the round.

The Base Game

The base game is thin. Five lines across nine positions means most spins show nothing at all, and the ones that pay tend to return a few euros against the stake – a BAR combination filling the middle row returned 3.00 in one of our spins. A small big win panel on the left lists recent large multipliers from other players, with figures in the x10,000 range throughout our session – a social flourish that keeps the ceiling visible while the base game grinds.

RTP, Volatility and Hit Rate

The RTP is 96.2%, the volatility is high, and the hit rate is 22.5% – roughly one paying spin in four and a half. The maximum win is 10,000x the stake, and stakes run from 0.05 upward.

One warning worth taking seriously: the RTP is offered as a range that runs down to 88.08%. Eight percentage points is the difference between a fair game and a bad one, and which version you are playing is decided by the casino, not by you. Kalamba does this across much of its catalogue. Check the game’s info screen before you commit to a session.

Presentation

The palace room is genuinely well painted, and the bulbs around the reel window flicker convincingly. Because the cabinet occupies only the middle of the screen, the room carries the theme, leaving the reels plain and legible – three columns of large, high-contrast symbols. Wins are announced in large gold numerals across the grid, and the controls stay minimal: a spin button, a bet display, and the cart.

Where it works less well is in the pacing. A three-reel, five-line game gives you almost nothing to think about between features, and unlike a collection slot there is no meter slowly filling to give the wait a shape. You are simply spinning until the lamps arrive, with the 150,000.00 on the cabinet head as your only company.

Who It Is For

It suits players who like the look and the speed of a classic machine but want a modern feature attached to it – particularly anyone who enjoys a free spins round that keeps extending itself. Anyone who needs a base game with something happening in it should treat the buy option as the default rather than the shortcut.

It is worth spinning the free demo on the left to get a feel for the game before committing real money.
