Supernova Galaxy Orbs Hold & Win is a fruit slot in space from Hacksaw Gaming, released on 20 August 2026. It plays on a 5x4 grid, returns 96.23% at medium volatility and takes bets from 0.10 to 100. The maximum win is 5,000x – and unusually, that figure is printed on the cabinet as a prize in its own right.

Fruit In A Nebula

The reels float in a purple and pink nebula, framed in violet with a ringed planet drifting behind them. The SUPERNOVA GALAXY ORBS logo arches over the top in gold with HOLD & WIN stamped beneath it, and the four prizes sit in plaques around it.

The symbols are classic fruit machine stock transplanted into orbit: 10, J, Q, K and A, then a watermelon, cherries, an orange, grapes and a golden bell, plus a WILD and a diamond BONUS symbol. The orbs of the title arrive as coloured spheres during the feature.

Four Prizes, All Multiples

The plaques around the logo scale with the stake, and we caught them at two different bets, which makes the ratios provable rather than assumed.

At a bet of €50: Max Win €250,000, Mega €25,000, Major €2,500, Mini €500.
At a bet of €10: Max Win €50,000, Mega €5,000, Major €500, Mini €100.

Divide each by its stake and the same four numbers appear: 5,000x, 500x, 50x and 10x. The top plaque is literally labelled MAX WIN and equals the game’s published maximum – so unlike most slots, the ceiling here is a prize you can land rather than a theoretical combination.

The Paytable

Hacksaw prints the values at the bet level you have selected, and says so in a footnote. At €10.00, for five, four and three of a kind:

Bell and wild – €100.00 / €50.00 / €25.00
Orange and grapes – €60.00 / €30.00 / €15.00
Watermelon and cherries – €25.00 / €10.00 / €5.00
10, J, Q, K and A – €10.00 / €5.00 / €2.00

Five bells are worth 10x the bet and five card symbols return the stake. The same footnote confirms the theoretical return: 96.23%.

FeatureSpins Are Not A One-Off Purchase

This is the part that catches people out, and Hacksaw states it plainly on the confirmation screen: “When FeatureSpins™ are activated, each spin guarantees certain features and costs €5,000.00. FeatureSpins™ remain active until you disable them.”

Read that twice. It is not a bonus you buy once – it is an enhanced spin mode charged at that price every spin until you turn it off. At the €10 bet on that screen, €5,000 a spin is 500x the stake, repeatedly.

Four Doors In The Bonus Buy

The menu offers four options, each with its own description and a volatility rating. At a €50 bet:

BonusHunt FeatureSpins – €110.00, or 2.2xeach spin is 3 times more likely to trigger a bonus game
Sphere Factor – €3,250.00, or 65xat least 10 free spins with a higher chance of landing Red Orb symbols
Cosmic FeatureSpins – €3,750.00, or 75xeach spin guarantees a Red Orb and triggers a Hold & Win sequence
Galactic FeatureSpins – €25,000.00, or 500xeach spin guarantees 1 to 5 Blue Orbs and fills the rest of the grid with Coin or Jackpot symbols

Note that three of those are per-spin modes and only Sphere Factor is a conventional one-off purchase – it is the only one with a BUY button rather than ACTIVATE, and the only one that buys a fixed number of free spins.

Red Orbs And Blue Orbs

The descriptions define the two orb types clearly. A Red Orb triggers a Hold & Win sequence; a Blue Orb fills the rest of the grid with coins or jackpot symbols. Both options that guarantee them also promise that “the min. Coin value is 1x” – so no coin on a guaranteed board can be worth less than the stake.

That floor matters. On an ordinary Hold & Win board, half the coins are usually fractions of a bet; here the expensive doors remove that possibility entirely, which is what justifies their price.

Every Option Is Rated Low

A small detail on the buy menu is worth pointing out: all four cards carry a Volatility: Low label. On a game rated medium overall, that tells you the features are designed to pay reliably rather than to gamble – you are buying consistency, not a lottery ticket, which fits the guaranteed-coin-value promise.

The Cheapest Door Is The Interesting One

Look at the spread of prices and one option stands apart. BonusHunt FeatureSpins costs 2.2x the stake for three times the usual chance of a bonus; the next cheapest is thirty times that price.

At just over twice a spin, it is closer to an ante bet than a bonus buy – you keep playing the ordinary game, keep the ordinary wins, and simply meet the feature more often. For anyone who wants the Hold & Win rounds without handing over 75x or 500x a spin, it is the only option on the menu that makes arithmetic sense over a long session.

What The Base Game Paid

Ordinary spins are modest. At a €50 bet, a screen with oranges across the bottom three reels and a 3x orb on the right paid 300.00, with the running total at €120.00 and 2 free spins remaining. The balance moved from €1,315 to €4,565 to €6,335 across our session – a steady climb rather than a spike.

What The Bet Changes

Everything scales, as the two sets of plaques prove. At the 0.10 minimum the Max Win prize is worth €500 and Galactic FeatureSpins cost €50 a spin; at the 100 maximum the Max Win is €500,000 and Galactic costs €50,000 a spin. The multiples – 5,000x, 500x, 50x, 10x – never move.

More From Hacksaw Gaming

The Library Overdue is the studio’s other recent release we have covered, and it uses the same FeatureSpins menu with a completely different maths model behind it – 100,000 ways instead of a Hold & Win board.

Who It Is For

Supernova Galaxy Orbs is for players who read the small print. The base game is a friendly fruit machine with a 10x top line, the four prizes scale honestly with the stake, and the Max Win plaque tells you exactly what the ceiling is. But the FeatureSpins are charged per spin until you switch them off, and at 500x a spin the Galactic mode can empty a balance faster than any bonus buy on this site. Used deliberately, it is one of the most transparent games Hacksaw has made. All six casinos we checked carry it.
