Three Piglets Overview

Three Piglets is a fairy-tale slot from NetGame Entertainment, built on the story of the three little pigs and the big bad wolf. A Farmyard at the Edge of the Woods

The reels sit inside a wooden frame in front of a sunny farmyard, with a thatched cottage and a bell on the left and green hills behind. Above the grid, four coloured plaques show the jackpots at the current bet. The three pigs are the premium symbols, each in a different outfit: one in an orange builder’s hat, one in a blue cap and one in a green hat with a pitchfork.

The middle symbols are a golden bundle of straw with bricks and a wooden toolbox full of hammers and saws, and the low symbols are the card letters A, K, Q and J. The wolf is the wild, drawn with a sly grin and the word WILD across the bottom of his tile.

NetGame’s own summary of the symbol set is precise: one wild, one Bonus symbol, five high-paying and four low-paying symbols, plus three kinds of frame and three kinds of house for the bonus. The story is told through them – the straw and the tools are what the pigs build with, and the wolf is the one who comes to blow the houses down.

The Paytable

The paytable shows cash values for the current bet, paid per way. At 10 FUN the orange-hat piglet pays 40.00 for five, 15.00 for four and 10.00 for three – so five of them on a single way are worth 4x the bet. The blue-cap piglet pays 30.00, 10.00 and 5.00, and the green-hat piglet 20.00, 6.00 and 3.00.

The straw bundle pays 15.00, 4.00 and 2.00, the toolbox 8.00, 3.00 and 1.00, and the four letters share a line of 3.50, 1.50 and 0.50. All wins pay left to right on adjacent reels, and only one combination per symbol and way counts.

How the Ways Multiply

With 243 ways, stacked symbols multiply quickly. In one of our spins the green-hat piglet appeared across all five reels, with a wolf helping in the middle, and the game counted 18 ways. At 20.00 per way that came to 360.00 – 36x the bet – from a symbol that is only the third-best on the table.

A few spins later the orange-hat piglet filled the first four reels, again with a wolf on reel 2, for 36 ways at 15.00 each: 540.00, or 54x. Both results match the paytable exactly, which makes the game easy to check while you play.

Frames, Houses and Jackpots

The jackpot plaques read MINI 100, MINOR 500, MAJOR 10,000 and GRAND 30,000 at our bet – that is 10x, 50x, 1,000x and 3,000x the stake. They are not progressive; they scale with the bet.

The rules explain where they come from. Symbols can land in three kinds of frame, and when the free spins end, every frame turns into the matching house. A straw house holds 0.6x to 2x the bet. NetGame describes the round as a Hold ‘N’ Link feature, in which the framed positions are collected and then revealed as houses at the end. We did not reach the round in our captures, so the rules and the studio’s own description are our source here.

NetGame puts the feature hit rate at 1 in 158 spins and a big win at 1 in 140, and caps the maximum exposure at €250,000 per game round.

The house ranges explain why the round is worth waiting for. A straw house on its own is a small top-up, but the stone houses start at 10x and reach 100x even without a jackpot, so a round with several stone frames can add up quickly. The Mini and Minor jackpots can appear in both wooden and stone houses, while the Major and the Grand are reserved for stone.

What the Session Did

Most of our spins returned small amounts: a toolbox win of 3.00, a straw win of 12.00 and a four-reel toolbox combination worth 24.00, each with the wolf helping from the middle reels. The two big pig spins at 360.00 and 540.00 carried the session.
