Western Zombie Overview

Western Zombie is a 3x3 slot from Onlyplay, released on 22 February 2024. Undead cowboys, cacti and saloons fill a compact grid with 5 paylines, set against a Wild West town lit in neon green and purple. Onlyplay’s official game page gives a 95.16% RTP, medium volatility and a maximum win of 2,530x the bet. The in-game logo reads “Zombie Western”, but the studio lists the title as Western Zombie.

Three Fixed Jackpots

The left panel shows three jackpots, each marked x9. At a stake of 50 the values were:

• Grand: 50,000 – 1,000x the bet
• Major: 5,000 – 100x
• Mini: 1,250 – 25x

The x9 label refers to the full grid: each jackpot has its own character icon, and it is won when that symbol fills all nine positions – the same rule as in Onlyplay’s other 3x3 games. Because the jackpots are fixed multiples, they scale with the stake.

The Paylines and Symbols

Five lines run across the 3x3 grid: the three rows and the two diagonals. The symbol set is Wild West with a zombie twist – a zombie cowgirl, a zombie saloon, patterned cowboy boots, a grinning cactus, a skeleton horse, a bottle of whiskey and a zombie in a sombrero. A zombie cowboy in a purple hat carries the FREE SPIN label.

What Our Spins Showed

We played at a stake of 50 USD, and the grid made the line values easy to read back:

• Cactus: three on the rising diagonal paid 25 – 0.5x the bet.
• Boots: three on the falling diagonal paid 50 – 1x.
• Saloon: saloons filled the first and third reels with one in the centre, completing the middle row and both diagonals – three lines for 600, so 200 per line (4x).
• Cowgirl: five cowgirls completed the top row and the rising diagonal for 1,000 – 500 per line (10x), the best win of our session at 20x the bet.

Reading the Line Values

Put side by side, the four wins give a clear ladder. The cactus pays 0.5x the bet per line and the boots 1x; the saloon jumps to 4x and the zombie cowgirl to 10x. That is a steep curve for a five-line game: two lower symbols return part of the stake, while one premium line can pay several spins’ worth at once.

Because all five lines pass through the centre position except the top and bottom rows, the middle square matters most. In our saloon win it was the single saloon in the centre that turned two full reels into three winning lines.

Stake and Pace

With only nine positions and five lines, every spin resolves quickly and the result is visible at a glance. The MAX BET button jumps straight to the top stake, and the plus and minus buttons at the bottom adjust the bet in steps.
