Wizard of Wild Overview

Wizard of Wild is a shooting game from KA Gaming, released on 28 June 2023. It is not a reel slot: instead of spinning, you aim at a stream of fantasy creatures crossing the screen and collect a multiplier whenever one of them falls. SlotCatalog lists an RTP of 96% (the game is offered in several RTP versions) and a bet range of 0.01 to 10 per shot.

Choosing a Room

The game starts with a room selection screen, “Please choose a room”, offering three tables:

• Bronze – bets from $0.01 to $0.10;
• Silver – $0.10 to $1.00;
• Gold – $1.00 to $10.00.

Each room is guarded by its own mascot, and the rooms differ only in stake size. The game layout is shared, so you can move up or down without learning anything new.

How the Game Works

Your character stands in the bottom-left corner and fires at the creatures that walk, hop and float across the field: bunnies, skeleton warriors, armoured hogs, mushrooms, bomb carriers and more. The bet selector at the bottom sets the value of each shot. When a creature is defeated, it pays its multiplier times your bet.

The controls on the right-hand side are explained on the tutorial screen:

• Lock Target – fix your aim on one creature;
• Open Pay Table – view the multiplier of every creature;
• Power Weapon – a stronger attack for a higher price.

An Option Menu on the left holds the remaining settings.

A Shared Table

The bottom of the screen is divided into seats. Your own seat holds the bet selector, while the others read “Waiting for player”. Shooting games of this kind are built for several players at one table, each with their own cannon and bet, all aiming at the same creatures. In the demo, marked “freeplay”, the other seats stayed empty, so every creature on the field was ours to hit.

The Pay Table

The pay table runs across eight pages. Page six, which we captured, shows six creatures with fixed multipliers: 40x, 30x, 25x, 20x, 15x and 12x. The largest bosses sit on other pages and pay considerably more, as our results show.

The creatures on that page are a mix of the game’s cast: a heavy beast with a skull-shaped head at 40x, a stitched doll carrying a lollipop at 30x, a pink blob creature crowned with a skull at 25x, a purple cat warrior with a club at 20x, a hooded reaper with a scythe at 15x and a small purple creature at 12x. The higher the multiplier, the tougher the target usually is to bring down.

The Power Weapon

The Power button shows its price next to it, and that price follows the bet: $6.00 at a $1 bet and $48.00 at an $8 bet. In both cases it costs 6x the current shot value, so it is a tool for when a valuable target is on screen rather than for every shot.

What Our Session Showed

In the Silver room at $1 per shot, a bunny boss dropped for $114.00 – 114x – with a rainbow bonus burst worth $40.00 alongside it. A little later a green tornado swept across the field and the round was credited $72.00.

The biggest catch came in the snowy Gold room at $8 per shot: an armoured hog knight fell for $2,160.00, which is 270x the bet. That single result is worth far more than any of the fixed multipliers on the pay table page we captured, which shows how much of the game’s value sits with the bosses.

Graphics and Atmosphere

The game has a bright cartoon style with chunky, expressive characters. The battlefield changes with the room – a stone arena, a snowy landscape with a wooden fence – and every defeated boss is shown in a large golden frame with its payout underneath. Coins burst across the screen on big wins.
