Wonder Lamp Overview

Wonder Lamp is an Arabian Nights slot from Triple Cherry, released on 23 July 2024. It starts on 5 reels and 3 rows with 243 Cherry Ways, and every consecutive win unlocks another row of symbols. At full height the grid is ten rows tall and the number of ways climbs to 100,000.

Triple Cherry gives the game a maximum multiplier of x10,501.2 and a hit frequency of 20.43%. SlotCatalog rates the volatility medium-high. The figures below come from our own demo session, played at a bet of FUN 20 in the base game and FUN 15 for the bonus.

A Tower in the Desert

The reels stand inside a tall stone gateway in the middle of a red desert canyon, with the Wonder Lamp logo carved into the top. When the grid is short, most of the gateway is dark; as the rows unlock, the tower fills up with symbols from bottom to top.

The story is the familiar one: a magic lamp hidden in a secret cave, and a boy from Agrabah sent to find it. The high symbols are the characters – the boy in his purple hat, the princess, a blue-skinned figure, a hooded rider and a man in a red turban. The lower symbols are treasure: a red ruby, a gold coin, a curved scimitar and a clay vase.

Cherry Ways and the Growing Grid

Wins pay for matching symbols on adjacent reels from the left, in any position – Triple Cherry’s own name for this is Cherry Ways. The mechanic that makes the game different is Reveal the Reel: after every win the grid grows by one row, and the next spin plays on the bigger board.

Our screenshots show how quickly the numbers change. On the short grid, a group of scimitars paid FUN 18.00, clay vases paid FUN 36.00 and a set of rubies paid FUN 24.00 on the FUN 20 bet. On the fully open tower, a spin with vases, rubies and characters spread over all ten rows paid FUN 44.00 (2.2x).

Because every row is earned by a win, the value of the feature lies in chains of consecutive wins rather than in single spins – the tall grid is the reward for a good run.

The Double Up Symbol

The game also has a Double Up symbol. Triple Cherry’s description is short: it “reveals an additional row”. It is a small feature on its own, but on a board where every extra row multiplies the number of ways, one extra row can make a real difference to the next result.

Free Spins

The Free Spins round starts at the maximum height, so every free spin plays on the full ten-row tower with up to 100,000 Cherry Ways. The scenery changes to a night sky over the desert, and a total-prize counter runs on the right.

Wild symbols take on a bigger role in the bonus. According to Triple Cherry, wilds multiply the Cherry Ways by x2, and in our round a Wild x2 marker sat at the edge of the grid while a spin of scimitars and rubies paid FUN 63.00 on the FUN 15 bet (4.2x).

Buying the Bonus

The BONUS button in the bottom-right corner opens the Free Spins Phase offer, which gives immediate access to the bonus feature. At a bet of FUN 15 the price was FUN 1,428.00, or about 95x the stake, and the cost is deducted from the balance as soon as you press Start.

That is a meaningful price for a round whose results we saw at the modest end, so it suits players who specifically want the full-height grid rather than a cheap shortcut.

Controls and Platforms

The screen layout is simple. A large pink spin button sits on the right with the autoplay control below it and the BONUS button in the corner, while a round bet-level button sits above them. The bar along the bottom shows the current prize, the bet and the balance.

SlotCatalog lists stakes from $0.50 to $50 per spin. Triple Cherry says the game adapts to computers, mobiles, tablets and smart TVs in landscape or portrait mode, and supports fifteen languages and more than a hundred currencies.

The Numbers to Keep in Mind

Wonder Lamp is released with several return settings, and the version you play is chosen by the casino. Triple Cherry lists 90.04% as the default, with alternatives of 97.59%, 96.11%, 94.15%, 92.08% and 88.01%. Our data box shows the highest figure; the default is well below the market average, so it is worth checking the game info in the casino before you play.

The maximum multiplier of x10,501.2 is high for a ways slot, and it only comes into reach on the tall grid, where most of the ways are. A hit frequency of 20.43% means roughly one winning spin in five.

Who Should Play It

Wonder Lamp suits players who like mechanics that build during play. The growing tower gives every win a second purpose, the free spins skip straight to the full board, and the familiar Arabian Nights theme is easy to follow.
