X-mas Express OverviewX-mas Express is a Christmas slot from GameArt, released on 5 December 2023. A golden steam locomotive waits beside a snowy village, and the reels are filled with Christmas baubles, a snowman, a gingerbread man, an elf, a toy soldier and Santa himself. The game runs on a 5x4 grid with 50 paylines, and a sign on the right of the screen spells out the headline figure: win up to 10,000x. The game's configuration confirms a 96.79% RTP and the 10,000x maximum win; SlotCatalog lists the same RTP and notes that the game comes in several RTP versions. Stakes run from 0.50 to 100 per spin. The Paytable SymbolsThe low-paying symbols are coloured glass baubles – teal, green, red and purple – hanging from their golden caps. The characters are the premium symbols: the snowman, the gingerbread man, the elf, the toy soldier and Santa. Wins pay left to right along the 50 lines, and with four rows per reel the lines weave up and down across the grid, as the glowing win lines in our screenshots show. In the base game at a $10 bet, a line of teal baubles paid $20 (2x), and a line of red baubles running up through the middle of the grid paid $12. The baubles are the everyday wins; the big numbers come from the features. The Express Train ScatterThe scatter is the golden express locomotive, drawn in red and gold with smoke rising from the chimney and a Scatter label across it. Our trigger spin had three of them – on the first, fourth and fifth reels – and that was enough to start the free spins. The same locomotive stands on the left of the screen, next to the BONUS badge. Free Spins and the Total MultiplierThe free spins round changes the grid completely. The symbols are replaced by gift boxes: plain silver boxes, and teal boxes carrying multipliers such as x1, x2, x3 and x5. Two counters sit above the reels – FREE SPINS on the left and TOTAL on the right – and the multipliers from the boxes are collected into the total. Special boxes can appear too. In our round a red Santa's Elf x2 box landed on the first reel, standing out from the teal gift boxes around it. With one free spin left, the TOTAL counter stood at x23, and the grid showed teal boxes marked x5, x2, x5, x1, x3, x3 and x2 alongside the elf. When the last spin ended, the total had reached x37, and the game paid a Big Win of $185 at a $5 bet. That is exactly 37 times the stake: the round pays the collected total multiplier times your bet, which makes the free spins easy to follow – every box you collect adds directly to the final win. Reading the Bonus ScreensTwo screenshots from the same round let us follow the bonus closely. Before the final free spin the TOTAL read x23; after it, the total was x37. The last spin alone therefore added x14 to the total – 70 dollars at the $5 stake, more than a third of the whole round. The balance tells the same story from the other side. It showed $92 on the trigger spin, during the round and on the final Big Win screen: the free spins are paid out as one amount at the end, not spin by spin. That is typical of a collect-style bonus, where the only number that matters is the total when the last spin stops. It also puts the buy prices in perspective. Our naturally triggered round finished at 37x; the standard free spins buy costs 70x. A bought round has to collect nearly twice as much as ours did just to return its price. The Mystery Sleigh RideThe base game has its own random feature, the Mystery Sleigh Ride. It is announced with a full-screen banner in red and gold lettering over the reels, and it can also be bought directly. SlotCatalog lists mystery symbols and substitution symbols among the game's features. Our screenshots show only the announcement banner, not the reels after the ride, so we do not describe what it changes in detail. The Buy Bonus MenuThe lightning button opens the Buy Bonus menu, with a Feature tab and a Bonus tab. At a $25 bet the prices were:
The spread is wide: the sleigh ride is a cheap way to see the base-game feature, while the top option is an expensive shortcut aimed at the upper end of the 10,000x range. The Numbers
Graphics and SettingX-mas Express is one of GameArt's most detailed holiday designs. Snow falls continuously over a winter village with a pink house, pine trees and a snow-covered roof, and the golden locomotive on the left gives the game its name. The reels sit in a dark frame with a gold border, the logo in red and green script has a small train above it, and the gift boxes of the bonus round glitter against a dark blue background. It is a cheerful, busy screen that suits the season. A Seasonal SlotAs a Christmas title, X-mas Express is the kind of game casinos often feature around the holidays and move to the back of the lobby for the rest of the year. When we checked on 25 September 2026 it was listed at all six of our partner casinos. Who It Is ForX-mas Express is for players who want a Christmas slot with a clear, collect-and-multiply bonus. The base game is steady, with 50 lines of baubles and characters, and the free spins turn every gift box into a step towards the final multiplier – our round finished at x37. With three buy options from 15x to 400x, you can choose how quickly you want to get there. You can try this game on LuckyBar Online Casino. There’s a unique casino bonus offer of 300% up to £1500 for a limited time. |
