How we rate games

Every slot is scored on the same four criteria, using the game's published data: RTP (40%), maximum win potential (25%), bonus features described in our review (30%) and how recent the release is (5%). Our editors can adjust a score after playing the game. Missing data counts as neutral. The score reflects the game's numbers and features, not your chances of winning; slots are games of chance, so please play responsibly.

3 Dragons' Coin Overview

3 Dragons' Coin is an Asian-themed jackpot slot from TaDa Gaming, released on 3 September 2026. It starts on a classic 5x3 grid with 243 ways to win, but the reels can grow during the features up to a 6x5 layout with 7,776 ways. Above the reels stand three magical money trees – the purple Cash Boost, the golden Jackpot Boost and the green Expansion Boost – and each of them can unlock its own feature.

The RTP is 97.01%, the volatility is low to medium, and the maximum win is 3,000x the bet. Bets range from 0.20 to 200. On top of the regular prizes there are four fixed jackpots (Mini, Minor, Major and Grand) and a progressive Fortune Jackpot, plus a Buy Bonus menu with three different options.

Theme and Graphics

The game is set in a peaceful Chinese mountain garden at sunset. Misty peaks rise in the background, a pagoda and cherry trees frame the reels, and stone steps lead up to the purple reel set, which is styled like an unrolled scroll. The three coin trees glow in purple, gold and green, and when a feature is triggered, a dragon of the same colour coils around its tree with a big "Bonus Awarded!" banner. In the free spins the scene changes to a moonlit night, and the Jackpot Bonus Game moves into a temple hall filled with mountains of gold coins.

The premium symbols are a golden dragon mask, a red gourd, a golden peacock, a bowl of oranges and a pink lotus flower; the lower pays are the stylised card ranks A, K, Q, J, 10 and 9. The overall look is detailed and polished, very much in line with TaDa's recent Asian-themed releases.

The Wild with Multipliers

The Wild is a square red tile with a golden 福 ("fortune") sign held by two dragons. It appears in the base game and in the free spins and substitutes for all regular symbols, except the Dragon symbols and the Cash symbols. Every Wild that lands randomly carries a 1x, 2x or 3x multiplier, so a single Wild can triple the win on the ways it completes.

Paytable

3 Dragons' Coin uses a dynamic paytable, so the values change with the bet. At a 0.60 bet the game showed:

  • Dragon mask: 0.24 / 0.48 / 0.90 for 3 / 4 / 5,
  • Gourd: 0.18 / 0.36 / 0.60,
  • Peacock, oranges and lotus: 0.12 / 0.18 / 0.30,
  • A, K, Q and the other card ranks: 0.06 / 0.12 / 0.18.

The regular wins are modest, which fits the low-medium volatility. The real value of the game is in the Dragon Coins, the cash prizes and the jackpots described below.

The Three Dragon Coins

The heart of the game are the Dragon Coin symbols in three colours: purple, green and gold. In the base game, every coin that lands flies up into the money tree of the same colour above the reels, and each landing has a chance to trigger that tree's feature. Up to three trees can be triggered at the same time, and the combination decides which bonus you get. (The game notes that the filling animation of the trees is only decorative – it does not show the actual chance of triggering.)

  • Purple coin (Cash Boost): 8 free spins with the Cash Collect feature,
  • Green coin (Expansion Boost): 8 free spins with the Expanding feature,
  • Golden coin (Jackpot Boost): 3 spins of the Jackpot Bonus Game,
  • Purple + green: 8 free spins with both Cash Collect and Expanding,
  • Purple or green + gold: the matching 8 free spins, followed by the Jackpot Bonus Game with the same feature,
  • All three: 8 free spins with Cash Collect and Expanding, followed by the Jackpot Bonus Game with Cash Collect, Expanding and the Jackpot Bonus feature.

During the bonus rounds, larger Super Dragon Coins in the same three colours join the reels, and they make every feature stronger.

Cash Collect Feature

When the purple tree is triggered, a Purple Coin above the reels shows a prize value that starts at 1x. Every Purple Super Dragon Coin that lands increases this value one, two or three times, and each increase randomly adds 0.5x, 1x, 1.5x, 2x, 3x, 5x or 10x. After that, every purple coin on the reels – normal and Super – pays the current value of the Purple Coin. Because the value only grows during the feature, the later spins of the round are usually worth more than the first ones. In our demo session, the Purple Coin had already climbed to 11.1 credits on a 0.60 bet by the seventh free spin.

Expanding Feature

The green tree controls the size of the reels. During the free spins, every Green Dragon Coin expands its own reel by one position, and every Green Super Dragon Coin expands random reels by a total of 3, 4 or 5 positions, filling each reel by one step first. The extra rows stay until the end of the feature, and the reels can grow up to 6 rows on all 5 reels – a 6x5 layout with 7,776 ways. If a green coin lands when no more expansion is possible, it awards 1 extra free spin instead, so the green coins are never wasted.

In the Jackpot Bonus Game, the Expanding feature works a little differently: the game starts with the final reel size from the free spins, and when the reels reach their full size, the screen is split into two 3x5 reel sets, with the second set unlocked. That doubles the space for collecting coins.

Jackpot Bonus Game

The golden tree leads to the Jackpot Bonus Game, a Lock & Respin round with a three-step respin counter. Golden Dragon Coins land with random cash values of 0.1x, 0.3x, 0.5x, 1x, 2x, 3x, 5x, 7x or 9x and stay locked in place until the round ends. Purple coins from the Cash Collect feature can join the round, too. Each reel set shows a counter such as "12/15 – Fullscreen awards the Grand Jackpot": filling a whole set with coins wins the Grand Jackpot.

Above the reels hang eight lanterns with prizes of 1x, 2x, 3x, 5x, MINI, MINOR, MAJOR and FORTUNE. When a Golden Super Dragon Coin lands, it randomly picks one of these lanterns, and each lantern can only be picked once per round. At the start of the game, a few lanterns are marked as Upgrade Lanterns: when one of them is picked, it also upgrades another lantern with an extra prize. In our session, the Major lantern was boosted to +60 this way, and the 0.6 lantern received an extra 1.8.

Golden Coins During the Free Spins

The golden tree is not switched off while the free spins are running. If the Jackpot Bonus Game was not part of the original trigger, Golden Dragon Coins still land during the free spins and keep filling the golden pot. If the golden tree is triggered this way, the Jackpot Bonus Game is added to the queue and starts after the free spins end – and it inherits the feature of the free spins round, for example the Purple Coin value from Cash Collect or the expanded reels from the Expanding feature.

If the Jackpot Bonus Game was already triggered when the free spins started, it cannot be triggered a second time, and the golden coins simply do not appear during that round. In other words, you can get the jackpot round once per bonus sequence, either straight away or as a late extra.

How the Features Work Together

The clever part of 3 Dragons' Coin is that the three features are not separate bonus games, but building blocks that stack on top of each other. Cash Collect makes every purple coin valuable, Expanding gives the reels more room, and the Jackpot Bonus Game turns all that space into a Lock & Respin board with lantern prizes. The best results come when all three are active at the same time: the free spins first grow the reels and raise the Purple Coin value, and the jackpot round then starts on that bigger, more valuable board, split into two reel sets. That is also why the most expensive Buy Bonus option, with all three coins, costs four times as much as the basic one.

Jackpots

The fixed jackpots are worth 10x (Mini), 30x (Minor), 100x (Major) and 1,000x (Grand) the bet. The Fortune Jackpot is progressive: 0.5% of every bet goes into the pool, which has no upper limit, and the game states that a higher bet gives a higher chance to win it. In the demo, the Fortune pool stood at more than 26,000 credits.

The game rules also explain what happens in rare cases, for example if two players hit the jackpot almost at the same time – the first winner receives the full pool, the second one the reseeded amount.

Buy Bonus

If you do not want to wait for the trees, the Buy Bonus button in the top right corner opens three options. At a 0.60 bet the prices were:

  • Free Game: 30.00 (50x the bet),
  • Free Game with 2 or more scatters: 60.00 (100x),
  • Free Game with all scatters: 120.00 (200x) – shown with all three coloured coins.

Bonus buys are not available in every casino or jurisdiction, so the menu may be missing at some operators.

Our Demo Session

The base game paid steadily but in small amounts: a row of orange bowls across the reels paid 20 on a 5 bet, and a stacked golden dragon on the first reel together with a multiplier Wild added 17 more. The highlight came when a purple, a green and a golden Dragon Coin landed on the same spin and all three trees lit up with "Bonus Awarded!". The free spins expanded the reels step by step, the Purple Coin value grew to 11.1, and the following Jackpot Bonus Game split into two reel sets that filled up with golden and purple coins, while the lanterns above handed out Mini, Minor and Major upgrades.

Game Controls

The interface is designed for portrait mode on mobile, but it works just as well on desktop. The bet is set with the plus and minus buttons at the bottom left, the large purple TaDa button in the middle starts a spin, and holding it opens the autoplay settings. Next to it are the autoplay, turbo and settings buttons. The jackpot values are always visible at the top of the screen, and the small "i" button opens the full rules and paytable.

RTP and Volatility

An RTP of 97.01% is above the industry average, and the low-medium volatility means the game pays small wins quite often while saving the big moments for the features. The 3,000x maximum win is reachable mainly through the combined features and the jackpots.
