Totem Token Overview

Totem Token is a compact coin-collection slot from GameArt, played on a 3x3 grid with a single betway. The published RTP is 96.01%, the maximum win is 1,353x the stake, and bets run from 0.10 to 100. It was released on 10 December 2024.

All figures below come from demo play at a 6.00 stake.

A Carved Mask in the Jungle

The setting is an overgrown temple somewhere in a Central American jungle. Stone walls covered in creepers frame the grid, palm fronds lean in from both sides, and the reels themselves sit on a red lacquered board with a carved stone border.

Above the grid is the game's centrepiece: a golden totem mask with glowing yellow eyes and a row of carved teeth. The four jackpot plates are mounted on either side of it, like offerings laid out at an altar.

The coins are the main symbols. Silver coins carry smaller values, gold coins carry larger ones. Each coin shows its value in a small dark panel in the middle, so every cash amount on the board can be read at a glance.

The Four Jackpots

At a 6.00 stake the four plates above the reels read as follows:

GRAND 3,000.00, which is 500x the stake. MAJOR 300.00, or 50x. MINOR 120.00, or 20x. MINI 60.00, or 10x.

These are fixed multiples of the bet rather than progressive pots, so they scale directly with whatever stake you choose.

At 500x the Grand covers only about a third of the published 1,353x maximum, so the ceiling needs a jackpot and a board of high-value coins together.

Coin Values on the Board

The coins we saw during play covered a wide range. The smallest silver coin was worth 0.60, just a tenth of the 6.00 stake. Other silver values included 1.20, 2.40 and 4.80.

Gold coins started higher: 6.00, 12.00, 18.00, 24.00, 30.00, 36.00, 42.00 and 54.00 all appeared across our screenshots. The 54.00 coin is worth 9x the stake on its own, close to the value of the Mini jackpot.

A jackpot mask can also land in a position instead of a coin. In one of our captures the green MINI mask sat in the top left corner next to four ordinary coins, so its 60.00 would be paid alongside the coin values at the end of the round.

How the Bonus Works

The feature is announced with a carved wooden plaque reading You Won 3 Free Spins. In practice these behave as respins on the 3x3 grid: the coins that triggered the round stay in place, and every new coin that lands also locks and gives the round a fresh chance to continue.

One of our rounds finished with an almost fully covered grid: eight gold coins worth 18.00, 54.00, 6.00, 18.00, 18.00, 36.00, 18.00 and 30.00, with one position left empty in the top right. Another round ended on 92.98, just over 15x the stake, with a burning collector coin showing 71.40 in the bottom row.

Special Symbols

The jackpot masks come in colours that match the plates above the reels. Each mask represents one jackpot level, and the corresponding jackpot is paid at the end of the Bonus Game or the Totem Bonus Game.

The Mystery Jackpot is a turquoise mask that can turn into any jackpot except the Grand. It reveals its value at the end of the bonus round, so you will not know until the last respin whether it became a Mini or a Major.

The Mystery Coin is a golden sun-faced symbol that can become any coin except the collector.

The Collector Coin

The game lists a Cash Collector among its features, and the burning coin is the obvious candidate: it looks different from every other coin, and its value is far larger than anything else on the board. The 71.40 fire coin in our capture was worth almost 12x the stake on its own, while the other coins around it ranged from 0.60 to 42.00.

The info pages confirm one rule about it: the collector is the only coin the Mystery Coin cannot become. It cannot be produced by chance at the end of a round, so it has to land as itself.

The Base Game

Outside the bonus, the grid shows single coins scattered across the nine positions. In our opening capture three silver coins sat on the board at 2.40, 1.20 and 1.20, with the message Press Spin to Begin shown underneath.

According to the slotcatalog feature list, the game also includes a Buy Feature and random multipliers, although neither appeared in our screenshots.

Who Should Play It

Totem Token suits players who like hold-and-win games but want them stripped down. With only nine positions, every coin that lands makes a visible difference, and a round can be followed at a glance.

The trade-off is the size of the prizes. The Grand is worth 500x and the published maximum is 1,353x, both modest by current standards, and the 96.01% RTP is average. This is a quick and clear game rather than one for chasing a huge win.
